A “July 4th” Message: Have you declared your Independence?

Independence Day, 2011. For my friends in Canada, my hope and prayer is that you had an excellent Canada Day on the first of this month.

Perhaps it’s more than symbolic that today, of all days, I found the time to truly declare my independence from another source of potentially toxic, high-frequency man-made radiation: Wi-Fi in my house.

A growing number of us have already learned a great deal about “dirty electricity.” That is, the high-voltage transient currents created by the bundles of wires within the walls surrounding our bodies in our homes. According to credible scientific research, these have the potential to produce physical illness. And there is a growing body of evidence that cell phones can be extremely detrimental to human physiology, particularly the nervous system.

But today, roughly 2 years after I retired all cordless telephones from my home, replacing them with the more “retro” plug-in variety of phone, I have succeeded in converting my home back to ethernet.

No longer do I sit with an AirPort wi-fi base station at my feet. (Or LinkSys, etc.) No longer are these high-frequency pulsations penetrating my body and the bodies of my loved ones 24/7. I do not have a wireless router. In order to get on the Internet in my home, you have to plug in the computer with category 5e cable.

I’m counted some difficulties in making this conversion. I will provide a description of these with some quick and easy solutions in my next post. For now, I’m celebrating Independence Day! Independence indeed.

Ethics and greed

Antoine Bechamp was a true scientist. Louis Pasteur was a scientist, but also a bit entrepreneurial, and very politically connected. Antoine Bechamp authored originally ideas, innovated theories based on rigorous analysis and research, and was pure genius. Pasteur borrowed and swiped from Bechamp, his contemporary, gave it a twist, called it his own, and through political maneuvering “won the day” and a place in history. A street named after Pasteur leads from Stanford University’s campus directly to the medical school. And to my knowledge, there is no street on campus named after Bechamp.

We live in an internet environment where people freely rip off the hard, genuine knowledge work of others. While there may be “nothing new under the sun,” there are original thoughts and thought forms that are worthy of credit. And then there are slick websites and web marketers that boast weightlessly of superiority.

Martin Luther King praised content of character. Perhaps in web-based marketing of home pulsating electromagnetic field devices he would have valued “original content” and “genuine character” free of greed.

Beware of those who will say anything to sell something. Or those who claim unsubstantiated superiority. Or those who give your conscience a cold, prickly feeling when they start to plant doubts in your head about others. Some one as sly and crafty as a lawyer can make you believe they are as knowledgeable as a doctor by calling themselve a “doctor” (in this case the title “juris doctor” (J.D.) is accurate, but oh, so misleading. Greed runs through it all. Such self-serving business behavior will ruin relationships early, and in the end, possibly ruin entire markets.

Nearly every home could benefit from magnetic resonance stimulation. Will greedy, slick marketers ruin the opportunity for all by preying upon the hard groundwork laid by others?

I need this ole train to break down!

One of my favorite songs: Jack Johnson’s “Breakdown” The lyrics are spot on for times such as these. We are running out of time and we feel helpless to do anything about it! Profusion — More and more, faster and faster. (see www.wave-movie.com)

I’m I’ve just finished reading “The Way We’re Working Isn’t Working” by Tony Schwartz. Great stuff. Though he never mentions it by name, he nails down the insidious effects of “profusion” very well.

We’re in information overload. Multiple forms of media, all the time. Our teens prefer to stream media all the time, even when they are trying to perform one task. And yet, Schwartz maintains, the brain can TRULY only focus on ONE THING at a time. “Multitasking” is a myth — sort of. We can juggle many activities at the same time, but whenever we attend to more than one, we give short schriff to all. It’s just the way it is. When we “multitask” we shift our focus from thing to the next thing to the next — and we may never get back to the first thing…

One consultant for Apple and Microsoft labeled this “continuous partial attention.” With so many competing tasks simultaneously bombarding our senses we never (ever, ever) fully marshal all our mental and emotional capacities to focus on just one thing.

When you talk on the phone are you simultaneously scanning email? When you are on the phone to you hear, in the background, the pitter patter of fingers lightly on a computer keyboard on the other end of the line? If so, how does it make you feel? (Something like this: “I’m not important enough to warrant their full, undivided attention.”)

And that’s the point: As information increases, the ability to focus attention decreases. And with massive profusion of information comes absolute impairment, or crippling, of the abillity to attend to just one thing. Quality of work goes down. Renewal, depth of relationship, and joy of living get sucked out as depth wisps away like a vapor. We get shallow.

When was the last time you just sat down to think. In depth. On one thing. Try these 2 questions: “Who am I and why am I here?” Or this: “What do I stand for?” “What am I about?” “What do I want to be about?”

Are you growing? Or are you a pinball, bouncing from one email ping to the next, or one text message notification to the next, or one new open window on your desktop, just keeping up?

Schwartz’s aforementioned book isn’t the last word, but it’s a good read.

How does this relate to energy medicine? In just this way: We all need renewal. We perform better when we get it. Sleep. Good nutrition. Practiced attention (through prayer or meditation or reading a good book, or listening to music, or engaging is structured routines, etc.) And one of the best DAILY practices is to set aside time — twice daily — to use the whole body mat of your MRS 2000+ designo system. It is conducive to rest, to restorative napping, to better digestion, to endorphin release, to healthy stress management, and to restoration of your body’s tissues. Just about everything Schwartz mentions in his book can be enhanced by interweaving magnetic resonance stimulation into your life.

Lessons from the 4-man bobsled

Fifty-nine 100ths of a second separated the gold medal from the bronze metal in the cumulative total of 4 runs in the Olympic bobsled. Amazing. Hope you had a chance to see it.
Keys to success: start speed, teamwork, overcoming adversity (Steve Holcomb, pilot of the USA’s “Night Train,” was going blind a year ago), and attention to detail. Every member of each team on the medal platform — Canada, Germany, and the USA — was essential to the success of the team. Each sacrificed incredibly, and each received reward for their efforts.
Thanks to everyone for your sacrifice, teamwork, incredibly fast start in introducing our culture to the wonders of pulsating magnetic field therapy and the MRS 2000, and for overcoming the challenges and growing pains of our rapid expansion throughout North America.
The fruits of our efforts are paying off and will, like the American, German and Canadian bobsled teams, consummate with intense satisfaction and reward.
Congratulations to USA — the brakeman (Kirk Tomasevic) is from my Alma mater (University of Nebraska) — and congratulations to Germany and Canada for Silver and Bronze performances respectively.
2010 promises to be a banner year for Magnetic Resonance Stimulation in North America. Wellness has never been so achievable, and our technology is the reason why!

Something for everyone

Magnetic resonance stimulation is simple. We get started, feel something very positive in our health, and are excited to tell others. What happens next is logical, and follows perfectly in the outworking of human nature. We ask ourselves, “How does this work?” And that’s where the trouble starts.

Some of us could care less about science. Some of us have such an intense allegiance to the published (peer-reviewed, abstracted and medically-indexed) word that we refuse to blow our nose unless we have supportive literature backing up the necessity of it. In any family, there are both extremes, and degrees of preference in the middle.

The scientific side of magnetic resonance stimulation, the core of MRS 2000 technology, is still in its infancy. To demand that it be more developed is a healthy impulse. We should always demand more. The wheels of science, however, grind slowly, and we must patiently allow its natural evolution, particularly since most investigations in medicine and wellness are funded through the deep pockets of Big Pharma and the pursuit to score a profit bonanza with the next blockbuster drug. Our culture and our corporations are pursuing drugs, not energy, as the answer to what ails us.

And yet the wheels of science do grind. It is inevitable that credible studies on the MRS 2000, born in North American soil, will begin to emerge. Already there are hundreds, if not thousands, of wellness effects that have been observed and objectively documented, giving birth to a long list of studies need to be performed. MediConsult, though small, seems to have produced more awareness in 3 strong years of presence in North America than many other companies have produced in the last 10 years combined.

On the flip side are those who could “give a rip” about science, who are pragmatic, and, in fact, have a bone to pick with the abuse of science as a stepchild to financial gain. Truth, for these people, is slain in the streets by greed, and the mishandling of “published truth” has become so rampant that we can’t really believe anything we read anymore, anyway! Hats off to you, my countercultural friends! As a group you are more familiar with the perpetual “corruption” of “The System” than anyone. Perhaps you’ve been a victim of it.

To both extremes, and to everyone in the middle, I say this: Join Energy Medicine Unlimited. Be part of our dialogue. Participate in our TeleClasses. Learn everything you can. If a PhD or physician is on a TeleClass – love it or hate it – but be there. If a guest faculty member is describing an amazing experience with magnetic resonance stimulation, judge for yourself the veracity of the claims, and feel free to ask questions – REAL TIME – using our ever-improving TeleClass interface.

As a group we are light-years ahead of our culture in our understanding of electrosmog, dirty electricity and the potential harmful effects of man-made electromagnetic fields and radiofrequencies. And as a forum for education, learning, interaction and support, Energy Medicine Unlimited is leading the way as well. Our ongoing aim is to deliver real, practical, and usable information relevant to the incredible wellness benefits of the MRS 2000.

Whether you are technically-minded, or averse to science altogether, there is something for everyone. Join us!

If you are a MediConsult representative, your membership and participation in E Med U Teleclasses is included in your yearly administration fee. If you are not a MediConsult representative, please contact the producer of E Med U, Dr. Joel Carmichael, DC, DACBSP, at:

Vitamin D3

As a follow-up to E Med U class Tuesday night, here’s the recommended dose of Vitamin D3:

4000 i.u. (smaller) to 5000 i.u. (larger)

Evidence-based approach: get blood tested for it (though many will prefer not to.) If your ileum (small intestine) is damaged, inflamed or diseased, the Vitamin D3 won’t absorb as well.

Alternative to oral D3: Use B-spectrum ultraviolet bulbs in winter. UV-B is responsible for the conversion of normal dietary Vitamin D into the active D3 form. UV-A is responsible for tanning of the skin.

Of interest: The more tan you are, the LESS Vitamin D you’ll convert.

Happy (anti) aging!

Dr. C

P.S. Our next Energy Medicine U class will be FEBRUARY 9, 2010 at 6:30 pm Mountain Standard Time. Be there! :-)
